Snow Challenge

This week's snow challenge from the TrailMakers (http://www.trailmakers.blogspot.com) is so fun! As soon as I saw these Christmas tree stickers from the TrailMakers' January kit (which you can purchase here http://leaveapapertrail.com/zencart) I knew that I wanted to add a little "snow" on top. I used frosted lace stickles on each peek and voila! Snow!

This little wintery piece is gracing the front of one of my albums -- I have American Craft ones with windows on the front.

Better Late Than Never

I know Christmas has come and gone but we never did post about our small group's Christmas party, which was really fun! One of the highlights was our white elephant gift exchange, which involved great gifts like a Tae Bo video . . .

. . . awesome head gear . . .
. . . more awesome head gear . . .

. . . and lovely accessories!

We are blessed to have all of these amazing people in our lives!

TrailMakers

Exciting news -- I was asked to continue on designing for TrailMakers! I am excited because they have such great kits and fun challenges!

Speaking of challenges, for the current TrailMakers challenge (create your own embellishment) I created a snowman embellishment by fussy cutting him out of one of the sheets of patterned paper from the Paper Trail's January kit and attaching him with pop dots for dimension. I love how the puffy ribbon adds to the warm fuzzy feeling of this page!

Just a few more days to get your handmade embellishment project in! And, don't forget - if you participate in both of our January challenges, Karen will put your name in the hat to be a guest designer here at Trail Makers in March! Don't let this opportunity go by - you will love the kits we have here and the opportunity to play with them for FREE is awesome!

January Kit

I am so excited to debut the January kit from The Paper Trail -- I love the blues and the reds and the browns -- such a lovely color combination! And the embellishments are stunning! Check out the entire kit, which features Echo Park's Wintertime, here: http://leaveapapertrail.com/zencart

This trimming the tree layout is important to me because I really never feel like it's Christmas until after I put up a tree!"
